Pappelina
The technique of weaving plastic carpets was created in 1948 in Sweden and was later modernised by Pappelina who began production in 1999, as new forms, colours and materials were added to the original process. The weaving is done in traditional weaving looms and craftsmanship is of the standard that you would expect from Sweden. Pappelina was founded by the designer Lina Rickardsson and produced in collaboration with Kim Fröyen's traditional weaving mill in the province of Dalarna in central Sweden.
