OTT Playhouses

Tea Pea - Wednesday, June 09, 2010
After delighting in the cool clean lines and pack away beauty of the Phoyo yesterday, I thought we could explore the other end of playhouse real estate.
Here's a few grandiose designs from around the world....This one is a bit of a cutie isn't it. Enjoy your day!

PlayHouse Of Your Own

Tea Pea - Tuesday, June 08, 2010
I hope you all had as wonderful a weekend as we did. Ours was one of those 'stay at home for the long weekend' weekends. Although it rained, and rained, and rained, we managed at walk up Mt Kau Kau, go to the park, the pool, and Te Papa. Lovely pancakes, corn fritters and scrambled egg breakfasts each morning at our big $60 table I bought recently off Trade Me (I'm planning a facelift for it - stay tuned for before and afters), dinner at friends, lots of family time...oh for a three day weekend every week.

You may have noticed a few changes at Tea Pea. Scott, our web guy Tim and I have been working really hard to make our website as lovely a shopping experience as we can for you. We have added a 'what our customers are saying' page so that our first time shoppers know what to expect when purchasing from us. And we have been busy with giveaways as our Home page tells you. If you haven't already entered do it now - great prizes!

I've just discovered the Phoyo. What a fabulous design - a sturdy and stylish playhouse that flattens to go under a bed or into a garage. The perfect size for playing with inside, on a deck, or in the backyard, and as you can see from the pictures, it's a doddle to build. Now that's good architecture. Check it out here.

OhBaby Competition

Tea Pea - Friday, June 04, 2010
Hello on this fine sunny day. (Apologies to those of you without sun...). No one could be more grateful than Otto, cooped up day after long rainy day.A warm and windless walk to school, creche and the cafe.

Well, it's old news now since I keep forgetting to tell you, but yippee to tea pea - in the latest Your Home & Garden. Our airplane bunting and cowboy pillowslip featured on a Make It Work Your Way page, and an Editor's Pick - wow. Thanks guys!

And now for the giveaway!
This month we are giving away a bedroom set - flat sheet, pillowslip and cushion - in the winner's choice of design, at OhBaby. There are loads of other great competitions to enter also. Go forth and enter.

Good luck and have a fabulous long weekend!

Diane Massey-Molloy

Tea Pea - Monday, May 31, 2010
The highly talented Diane Massey-Molloy has been a dear friend to me for more than ten years. Between us, in that time, we have had two weddings, four children, seven house moves (both parties seem settled now, finally), and three businesses start - mine, Diane's and her husband Rex's.
Diane has been designing and making beautiful corsages for several years. Here's a taste...

Lisa Wilson Photography

Tea Pea - Monday, May 24, 2010
A couple of weeks ago, Tea Pea pillowslips had the huge honour of being photographed by the lovely Lisa Wilson from Lisa Wilson Photography. She was a joy to work with - not even a raised eyebrow when I suggested we use the wildflower patch for a prop (she's a gardener too...).

Friends for Coffee

Tea Pea - Thursday, May 13, 2010
Two friends have recently had baby boys. Six children, one Louise slice, twelve pikelets, 18 crackers and six coffees later......feet up for a minute before I clean up. You may have noticed I've been using a different sort of camera lately. It's a very cool iPhone app called ShakeitPhoto. Here's a couple more. Craft Up Tuesdays - I get to drink wine and knit with super clever girls. OK, I'll be truthful - I'm not a great knitter. I bring along my handsewing. The others are mostly knitting for It's a Tree - can't wait to see it.
