About Us

Tea Pea wants your children's bedrooms to be as gorgeous and inviting as the rest of your home. Made in New Zealand from 100% cotton, we design sumptuous bedding, cushions, bunting, change mats and bloomers. Our fabrics will look great on your, or your guest bed too!

Tea Pea came about through a passion of wanting high-quality, delicious things for our two young children.

Returning to New Zealand in 1998 from a vibrant few years running cocktail functions at some of the best addresses in London I fell to the smallness of what is New Zealand earth. Seizing the moment of change I decided to return to study. Following in the shoes of my Interior Designer mother, I embarked on three years with Inchbald School of Design, based in London. And there my love affair for creating homes that were both beautiful, and a pleasure to live in, began.

I continued to consult through my pregnancy with my first child, and once he was born. But after two years I realised I had to choose between my wonderful clients, and my wonderful family. During the time consulting and shopping for clients I had noticed a lack of quality, stylish children's bed linen and accessories. I had ordered fabric from overseas and made my son a couple of cushions, and told a friend how much I had enjoyed designing and sewing again (after years of formal training in sewing and design in the 80's).

She asked if I would make and sell with her at a local fair, and from that success we applied for the highly renowned Craft 2.0 at the Dowse Gallery in Lower Hutt. We were accepted. I was surprised at the support and popularity Tea Pea received right from the beginning, but it also confirmed that I was not alone in pursuing fabulous bed linen for children and babies.

After another child and several more years building a gorgeous gang of loyal followers in Wellington, we have now taken Tea Pea to the rest of New Zealand
and beyond.

My husband Scott and I live with our two children, Griffin and Coco and our two Tibetan Spaniels, Clicquot and Otto in a 1950's house in Khandallah, Wellington.


We are passionate about what we design, are proud to be limited run and made in New Zealand.
